For generations the family Zimmermann have been welcoming guests to Lech. Decades ago Eugenie and Oskar Zimmermann began renting guest rooms in their home the "Haus Bergfrieden", besides running a small taxi company, consequently the two sons Egon and Karlheinz grew up with hospitality running through their veins.
Whilst Egon Zimmermann (1939-2019), after completing his training as a cook and retiring from his famous skiing career, established the legendary Scotch-Club and the Hotel Kristberg, Karlheinz graduated from the Hotel School of Lausanne and became the patron of the Gasthof Alpenblick and Zug as well as a Formula1-Caterer.
The next generation followed in these footsteps:
After completing Lausanne Hotel School and working in Munich, Bangkok and Chicago Michael joined the tradition and passion for the family business. So, now in third generation, Michael Zimmermann & Team are welcoming guests from all over the world to Lech and the Hotel Kristberg.
With Christiane and Michael Zimmermann’s children Annika (b. 2013) and Kilian (b.2014) the fourth generation also is growing up in wonderful Lech and the entire family is delighted and proud to be your hosts in Lech!
