“We, Hotel Kristberg GmbH, are committed to ensuring the digital accessibility of our website and all related services. This statement provides information about our efforts to comply with the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG) in implementation of EU Directive 2019/882. Here you can find out which parts of our website are already accessible, which are not yet, and how you can contact us if you have any problems.”
01. state-of-compatibility-with-requirements
This website is partially compliant with the requirements of the Web Accessibility Guidelines in accordance with the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG). We are constantly working on identifying and eliminating existing barriers. The content of the website – including all images, texts and structural elements – is created with a particular focus on accessibility. Images are provided with alternative texts, content is logically organised and wording is kept clear and comprehensible to support low-barrier use.
02. Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons
a) Incompatibility with accessibility regulations:
- Some foreign-language words or phrases that appear in the alternative texts of images used on the website, on descriptions of links and in headings are often not pronounced correctly by assistive technologies such as screen readers. It is currently not technically possible to edit the pronunciation.
- The WP Grid Builder is used on the website to display overviews (grids and some sliders). This technology is not completely barrier-free despite contradictory manufacturer information; operation is possible without barriers, in some cases assistive technologies such as screen readers display irrelevant information.
- This site uses external bookings from HSN (Websline), which are currently not accessible.
b) Disproportionate burden:
Please fill in additions
Videos on YouTube:
Videos are hosted and published on the YouTube video platform. It is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions or a textual alternative (WCAG success criterion 1.2.3 (Audio description) and 1.2.5 (Media alternative)), which means that the spoken content is not available for deaf users. We are of the opinion that a correction would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations.
Videos in general:
Some recorded videos and audio files lack the required audio description or a textual alternative (WCAG success criterion 1.2.3 (Audio description) and 1.2.5 (Media alternative)), which means that the spoken content is not available for deaf users. We are of the opinion that a correction would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations.
PDF:
Our PDF documents are not fully accessible. If you require a specific PDF file from us that is not yet accessible, please let us know using our contact form. We are working on further improvements in the area of providing PDF documents in accessible form and ask you to contact us if you notice any barriers.
Colours & contrasts:
For design reasons, a few page areas of our website have deliberately reduced contrasts between font and background. This decision is in line with our binding corporate design guidelines, which ensure a uniform visual language.
c) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legal provisions:</h4
- live broadcasting time-based media

- Internal areas and external tools
- External content such as social media feeds
